ATLAS Resistance® Piers

ATLAS Resistance® piers are used to restore and/or stabilize homes and commercial structures that settle. True end-bearing ATLAS Resistance piers are sold and installed only by contractors trained and certified by Hubbell and authorized to recommend and provide appropriate solutions to a wide range of soil problems.

The ATLAS Resistance pier is a manufactured, two-stage product designed specifically to produce structural support strength. First, the pier pipe is driven to a firm bearing stratum; then the lift equipment is combined with a manifold system to lift the structure. The ATLAS Resistance® Pier System procedure provides measured support strength. ATLAS Resistance piers are spaced at adequate centers where each pier is driven to a suitable stratum and then tested to a force greater than required to lift the structure. This procedure effectively load tests each pier prior to lift and provides a measured Factor of Safety on each pier at lift.

Continuous Lift Pier System

The ATLAS Resistance continuous lift pier system provides exceptional extend lift capabilities exceeding 4". All continuous lift pier systems include a continuous lift pier bracket assembly and cap plate assembly. The system is sold as individual parts or as a kit. The kit includes one continuous lift pier bracket, one cap plate assembly, one starter section and three pier sections. If you order separately, you'll need a reusable lift head, continuous thread rebar, nuts and six anchor bolts. Standard finish is mill steel (except AP-CLP-3500.165[PA], which has "Flow Coat" corrosion protection on the pier pipe standard). Please specify finish when ordering.

Plate Pier

The ATLAS Resistance plate pier is a two-piece system used for lifts up to 4" with easy surface mount installation. The plate pier may be used for round columns as a custom manufactured order. They system is available as individual parts or in a kit. The kit includes one plate pier bracket, on top pier platform, on starter section and three pier sections. If you order separately, you'll need two pier pins (two Grade 8 bolts for 4-1/2" pier) and pier shims, and eight anchor bolts per pier are required (Contact us for anchor bolt specifications). Please note that anchor bolts are not supplied by CHANCE®. Standard finish is mill steel (except AP2-PP-3500.165[PA], which has "Flow Coat" corrosion protection on the pier pipe standard). Specify finish within brackets [ * ] when ordering.

Pre-Drilled Pier

The ATLAS Resistance pre-drilled pier is a two-piece system used for lifts up to 4". A drilled pier access hole is required where unsuitable rock is near the surface. The pre-drilled pier is used where the designer requires penetration into bearing rock. The eccentricity from wall to C-L pipe is 6-3/4". The pier system is sold individually or in kits. The kit includes one pre-drilled pier bracket, one top pier platform, one starter section and three pier sections). If you order separately, you'll need two pier pins and four anchor bolts per pier and shims as required. Please specify finish when ordering. Standard finish is mill steel (Except AP-2-UFPD-3500.165M [PA], which has "Flow Coat" corrosion protection on the pier pipe standard).

Resistance Pier & Helical Tieback Combo

For lateral support needed in conjunction with ATLAS Resistance Pier

Where site conditions and load requirements warrant, the tieback combo combines CHANCE helical tieback anchors with ATLAS Resistance piers. The helical anchors contribute lateral support to the piers providing vertical support. This unique combination forms a fast, effective solution for challenges beyond the capabilities of other systems.

Under Footer Pier

The ATLAS Resistance under footer pier is available in a standard or modified two-piece set. The under footer pier is used for lifts up to 4". The system can be purchased individually or in kits. The kit includes one pier bracket, on tap pier platform, one starter section and three pier sections. If you order separately, you'll need two pier pins (two Grade 8 bolts for 4-1/2" pier) and pier shims. Each pier requires a minimum of four anchor bolts. Please note that anchor bolts not supplied by CHANCE. Standard finish is all mill steel (except AP-2-UF-3500[PA] series, which has “Flow Coat” corrosion protection on the pier pipe, standard). Please specify finish within brackets. * "M" designates one modifies sleeve included.
