Product Solutions for Interior & Exterior Applications

Description: This two-day training event will provide a solid foundation for Lighting and control products for architectural, commercial and industrial applications in both interior and exterior spaces. This will include new construction and retrofit project products. A wide variety of products are addressed including those used in commercial offices, industrial facilities, healthcare facilities, outdoor parking lots and sports fields/arenas. The latest lighting trends are highlighted along with best practice guidelines for interior and exterior spaces.

Controls Product and Systems Applications

Description: During this two-and-a-half-day program, students participate in an interactive approach to real world lighting controls applications for interior and exterior spaces. Lecturers provide attendees with details for products and how they are applied, students take this information and as a group apply products in application and report their recommendations to the class.

Fundamentals of Lighting

Description: Designed for professionals new to the lighting industry or seasoned professionals looking for a refresher, this two-day workshop focuses on the fundamental principles of lighting and introduces today’s latest advancements in lighting technology. Through hands-on training and real-world applications, we take an interactive approach to educating our participants in general lighting terminology, lamps and ballasts, solid-state lighting technology, light, vision, and color, optical control and basic application principles.

Fundamentals of Controls

Description: A great fit for people new to the lighting industry or people who want to refresh their knowledge of controls. This one-day course is focused on the basics of lighting controls. Through this program, participants will gain an understanding of various control solutions including motion sensing, daylight harvesting, panel-based lighting control systems, and wireless lighting control systems. In addition, participants will also be exposed to the current legislation and building codes, such as ASHRAE, IECC, and California’s Title 24, that are changing the controls landscape. At the end of this course, participants should be able to identify opportunities in various applications for a lighting control system, specify the control requirements based on the lighting fixture criteria and recommend an appropriate solution based on the application requirements.

NX Distributed Intelligence™ System – Agent Control Specialists Configuration and Programming Training

Description: This 2.5-day course will teach attendees how to install, program, operate and maintain an NX Distributed Intelligence System. Attendees will get hands-on experience working with actual product, sample applications and configuring those systems through the controlHUBB app. Takeaways include: system design, use case/sequence of operation, installation best practices, basic start-up, programming procedures/techniques and troubleshooting for both wired and wireless NX Systems, and connecting and using the NX Area Controller.

Learning Objectives:
Understand the product details and applications of NX Distributed Intelligence Wired Systems
Program and test core functionality of a local NX System
Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of an installed NX System

NX Distributed Intelligence™ System - Control Application and Design Hubb Training

Description: During this 1-day course, attendees will participate in an interactive approach to controls applications. Instructors will provide product information, and then show students how to apply products to put together a lighting control solution, develop a sequence of operation, and validate their design. Attendees will use HCS tools, such as Bluebeam, to create lighting control layouts, take-off quantities for quotations, and produce project submittals.

Learning Objectives:
Learn how to apply NX System components to real world applications
Learn how to develop and verify a sequence of operation that provide a code compliant user centric lighting control system
Learn how to develop a bill of material, quotation and produce a submittal package

NX Distributed Intelligence™ System - Field Service Engineer Training *Agents Only

Description: This in-depth 3.5-day training course is designed for Field Service Engineers who will be providing onsite support and startup services to Hubbell Control Solutions customers. Attendees will be introduced to Hubbell Controls Solutions policies and procedures, learn about available resources and how to use them, and how to complete documentation and reports. Attendees will work with actual products, programming, and testing tools. Takeaways include learning how to verify system installation, identifying and troubleshooting installation issues, configuring, and programming NX System components to meet provided sequence of operations using the controlHUBB app and NX Area Controller, as well as other programming and troubleshooting tools.

Learning Objectives: Gain an in-depth understanding of Hubbell Controls Solution Field Service policies and procedures
Learn how to provide required field service reports & documentation
Learn how to work with and utilize Hubbell Controls Systems Field Service support resources
Gain an in-depth understanding of all NX Components
Learn how to configure and program wired and wireless NX Systems –Networked and Standalone
Learn how to setup and test a BACnet system integration

Prerequisite:
Prior field service experience, in-depth knowledge & understanding of building electrical systems
In-depth understanding of lighting control systems
Note: This course requires signed Field Service Contract and approval by Hubbell Control Solutions Field Service management
