LineDefender™ SCM (SCADA Cellular Modem)

The SCADA Cellular Modem (SCM) is a bolt-on cellular modem providing remote monitoring, programming, and operation of a LineDefender™ Single-Phase Recloser. These functions enable utilities to improve service restoration time and reduce operational costs. For example, the ability to remotely send commands allows utilities to disable automatic recloser functions, change settings, and activate instantaneous trip mode in dry seasons to help prevent wildfires. The SCM is a cost effective remote communications solution, which eliminates the need for a separate communication cabinet, power transformer, and cabling. The field retrofittable solution.

• On-board DNP3, including unsolicited reporting, Binary Outputs, Binary Inputs, Analog Inputs, & counters
• GPS timestamping of SCADA events
• Available with Verizon, AT&T,and Private LTE (Band 8) networks
• Field-retrofittable on any LineDefender recloser
• Remote capabilities include:
• -Configuring modem & network parameters
• -Accessing GridHUBB, with full logs, programming, & report generation functionality
• -Performing a CLOSE operation up to 4 hours after a LOCKOUT or OPEN
• -Selecting alternate settings profile or placing into 1-shot mode
