William Oxley Thompson Memorial Library at OSU

The William Oxley Thompson Memorial Library is the main library at Ohio State University's Columbus campus. Named in honor of the university's fifth president, it's most recent renovation was completed in August of 2009.

The main stacks section was re-designed to include Litecontrol's surface mounted Staklite 500 fixture. This steel fixture presents a small cross-section with semi-circular shaped blade baffles to create a feeling of openness much needed in the small confines of library stacks. The Staklite 500's optical system provides superior light uniformity from top to bottom of book stacks.

SAE 98 Perf fixtures are also hanging in the Thompson Library. These simple, affordable, efficient fixtures are appropriately hung in office spaces and provide the perfect amount of light for computer and desk work.
