A tremendous transformation: How SH Designs brightened Progress Lighting’s headquarters with touches of home

While our team takes an enormous amount of pride entering Hubbell Lighting’s state-of-the-art LEED certified headquarters every day, even we couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw how our very own Lighting Solutions Center was transformed during the Be Bright Event!

Sandy Hankins and Deidre Jordan of Greenville, S.C.-based SH Designs agreed to incorporate Progress Lighting fixtures and the latest design trends through impressive vignettes within our Hubbell Lighting training rooms.

We enjoyed working with Sandy and Deidre and received numerous compliments on their design expertise. They more than helped us with our goal of communicating that spaces can be reinvented through the right lighting and home accent choices.

Here are some areas they re-created just for our event and audience:

  • Living Room – This “living area” was so cozy and inviting, we actually found attendees lounging in this space during breaks! While our oversized Equinox chandelier served as a focal point, SH Designs also incorporated cutting-edge 2016 trends – including black metals, rounded furniture and antler artwork – in the area.

  • Kitchen Merchandising – Primarily one of the most popular rooms in a home, the kitchen serves a lot of purposes – and the kitchen SH Designs reinvented for the Be Bright Event is no exception. Our Penn pendants were among the lighting that was featured in this setting – to show how accent, task and ambient lighting all work together for a variety of activities that take place in this area.

  • Reading Chair – Curl up with a soft blanket, place a hot cup of tea on the tables beside you and get lost in your favorite book – all under our six-light Noir chandelier. This functional and aesthetic space would be an ideal setting for a variety of home designs.

  • Bedroom – Progress Lighting’s Swing chandelier looks right at home over the bedroom setting SH Designs created. We loved the attention to detail in this vignette, including accent pillows, artwork, and comfy throw blankets. It’s hard to believe that the original space actually serves as our Lighting Solutions Training Room!

  • Farmhouse Table/Dining Area – The Farmhouse Table design was a gorgeous tablescape designed to inspire those who love to entertain! Our Trestle pendants added a unique authenticity with its handpainted finish, wrought iron arms and vintage Edison bulbs.
