The reNEWable Living Home is a pioneering venture by Meritage Homes Corporation (NYSE:MTH), BSB Design, and Hanley Wood’s BUILDER magazine. Innovative design, engineering, materials science and construction practices all coalesce around transforming homeownership with spaces that renew, grow, change and adapt as families’ stories evolve.
The home has been designed and constructed to showcase future practices in smarter energy use, healthier homes, and houses that mindfully adapt to both residents and the environment.
“The reNEWable Living Home is designed and built to advanced design, performance, health and sustainability standards,” said Paul Tourbaf, President of Hanley Wood’s Residential Construction Group.
The reNEWable Living Home:
- Showcases the preferences and buying habits of the multigenerational household
- Highlights innovative floor plans and solutions that help this expanding demographic live more comfortably
- Features a 5,000 plus square foot open floor plan designed by BSB Design to adapt to how different buyers will need to live in the space
Progress Lighting products featured in the reNEWable Living Home include:
The Elevate Collection, which can be seen in the master suite and living areas
Swing and Era collections – which complement each other seamlessly within the open floor plan as individuals move through a game room to the wet bar
The Vast Collection: Beautiful and expansive in design, the 72” Vast ceiling fan is ideal for use in large areas and outdoor covered areas for maximum cooling.
Vestique, which adds an element of glimmer in the guest bedroom
The Pointe, which highlights a glamorous walk-in closet!
Progress Lighting worked with Meritage Homes to contribute to a high performing, innovative design that resulted in a 16 HERS Rating, in the lowest 1% of all HERS rated homes in the country, along with ENERGY STAR certification, the EPA’s Indoor airPLUS certification, and satisfaction of the US Department of Energy Zero Ready Home Program requirements. Meritage hopes the landmark performance of this home will redefine future, scalable home design.
