In 1946, Frank Belleck founded Bell in Chicago, IL. He was the inventor of weatherproof boxes and covers. The organization was the first to develop the first spring-loaded “TR” wiring device.
Being the first to penetrate the market, the term "BELL Box" is synonymous for a weatherproof box. In 1965, the company purchased Fullman Manufacturing, a manufacturer of floor boxes & covers.
In 1971, BELL was acquired by Square-D then in 1986, Hubbell Inc. acquired the company. The organization's product portfolio now includes an expansive offering of weatherproof boxes, covers, and outdoor lighting solutions. BELL continues to be the leader in commercial and residential weatherproof product solutions.
