00:08Bell, the brand contractors count on for outdoor
00:12electrical solutions introduces the LL800 and LL1200, two new led flood
00:18lights in our outdoor lighting line.
00:21An obvious benefit of LED technology is lower energy costs.
00:25Both lights deliver on that requiring only 8 and 13 watts respectively.
00:30This is 85% more efficient than an equivalent incandescent fixture.
00:34Both come in gray white or bronze finish and provide 3000 Kelvin warm white light with
00:41even distribution and both are built to last with a rugged diecast metal construction,
00:46premium powder coat finish, tempered glass lens and a maintenance free led rated for
00:5350,000 hours.
00:54So not only will you continue to save on your energy bills for years to come,
00:59but you'll save time and money from not having to replace,
01:02burnt out incandescent and CFL bulbs or hassle with getting it hard to reach fixtures.
01:08The LL800 is an excellent option for a variety of architectural and landscape lighting needs
01:14using eight watts. It outputs over 850 lumens which is equivalent
01:19to a 60 watt incandescent bulb and it includes a handy swivel ball joint for light aiming,
01:25that is much easier and more precise than the old style lock nut and gear adjustment. With the
01:30LL800 it's as simple as pointing a shower head.
01:34The commercial grade LL1200 is another excellent option for many architectural and
01:40landscape lighting applications using less than 13 watts.
01:44It outputs 232 lumens which is the equivalent of a 75 watt incandescent.
01:50It also includes an easy adjustable ball joint, but with the added benefit of a unique locking
01:56knuckle. So the light continues to stay pointing in the
01:59set direction. And the LL1200 is rated for both 120 and 277 AC,
02:06so it's an excellent option for the 277 circuits typically found in commercial lighting.
02:11Garrett, our resident electrician is going to run
02:14through a typical LL800 installation to illustrate how easy it can be to upgrade your
02:20outdoor lighting. Of course, as with any electrical work,
02:23make sure the power is off at the breaker. Garrett starts by removing the canopy cover to
02:28expose the wiring connections which needs to be disconnected before he unthreads the old lamp
02:34holder. Next, he coats the threads of the LL800
02:37with a ceiling compound and threads it onto the cover until tight he connects the
02:43wires using wire nuts. The white LED connects to the neutral.
02:47Typically the other white, the black goes to the black or hot supply and the green LED to
02:53the ground. Often a bare copper wire then secures the
02:56canopy cover back onto the electrical box. Note, there is an indicator arrow on the back
03:02of the fixture that points towards a gauge on the neck.
03:05If later you decide to reorient, your lighting don't rotate past the indicated range.
03:10This is to avoid inadvertently over rotating the head which may twist the wires and
03:16potentially loosen connections in the box or fixture.
03:19So that's it for this upgrade, turn the power back on and your new fixture is ready to
03:23provide years and years of reliable service.
03:29Look for other fine bell products to enhance your outdoor lighting.
03:33Like the photocell control for automatic dust to dawn lighting,
03:36motion sensor, switch canopy covers or complete light kit.

03:46solutions for your outdoor electrical needs.
