Continental Industries, a division of Hubbell Gas Connectors & Accessories (HGCA), was honored with the 2018 Alpha Eagle Award from Pacific Gas & Electric on April 23, 2019, in San Francisco, California. The award is the highest attainable quality recognition given by PG&E, requiring ISO 9001 Registration and a full calendar year with zero defects. Continental Industries is the first plastic supplier to have achieved this esteemed award.
Continental Industries, headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was formed in 1958 and is today a leading manufacturer of connectors for gas, propane, and water distribution service lines and exothermic welding products for electrical grounding, cathodic protection, lightning protection, and electric railways.
PG&E is the third largest gas distribution utility in the United States with 4.3 million customers. Continental Industries has been partnering with PG&E for over 40 years, with primary products being steel punch tees, steel saddles, and Con-Stab fittings. In 2018, CI supplied over 3 million connector products to PG&E.
To quote Jesus Soto, Senior Vice President of Gas Operations, PG&E, “You have a better chance of being struck by lightning, than to obtain the Alpha Eagle Award.” Congratulations to Continental Industries and HGCA.
