The HVC 4000 Series of high voltage TDR couplers allow modern cable fault locators (thumpers) to be used in conjunction with advanced TDRs. The HVC series is uniquely suitable for use with cable fault locators with voltage ratings up to 70kV. When connected to a cable fault locator and a TDR, the coupler enables the operator to reduce his thumping and reduce the chances of potential damage by extended duration _thumping. The HVC series allow for the use of the latest methods of fault location and also allow the operator to use a TDR mode that is most suitable for the cable that has failed. The HVC series also allows for quick connection of a low voltage TDR.
