Mountain Modern style is all about clean lines and an uncluttered interior. With open layouts and tall ceilings, sweeping views command attention. Homes are big, bright and have a fresh aesthetic due in part to a more neutral color palette of whites, grays and blues. The design emphasis is placed on the building materials for texture like smooth glass, rough stone, chunky woodwork and textured concrete. Rather than covering up the details of the home, neutral colors allow the textures of all the elements to shine as the building materials become part of the decor. Lighting can be oversized, with airy, open designs that are meant to cast light without obstructing views from the plentiful windows in the space.
