27 kV, 125 kV BIL, 600 A, Polymer (2 1/4" Bolt Circle) insulation, M3 Switch

Chance Type M3 Disconnect Switches are Single Phase Hook Stick operated units ideal for manual switching up to 38kV 200kV BIL. They are rated either 900A or 600A and are suitable for application on overhead lines or station applications as they can be sourced either with serrated or smooth backstraps for cross arm mounting or station mounting. All M3 disconnects include load break hooks for use with a portable load break tool. These also serve as a blade closing guide. Each switch has silver plated contract areas for smooth current transfer and a positve latching blade mechanism to prevent unwanted opening during surges. Each pull ring has a pry out lever which helps opeing under ice conditions. The Chance M3 units are available with porcelain or ESP Enhanced Silicone Polymer insulating material.
