Aclara's ExactaGuard Gateway platform utilizes Bluethooth to communicate with the Residential Methane Detection sensor. Alarms, methane levels (%LEL) and device health information are all transmitted over the Aclara AMI network. Full two way communications allow for firmware updates and configuration changes over the air.

A level that should be well below a dangerous concentration giving the residents time to safely evacuate the building and give the emergency crews an opportunity to locate the leak and fix it. Aclara's trend mode provides up-to-date, actionable information that crews can use to determine exactly what they are walking into. They will know if methane levels are steady, increasing or decreasing. A pause mode allows maintenace crews the ability to perform meter change outs and other maintenance without triggering an alarm across the system.
