Cutting edge technology for Ex Environments

Radio Frequency Identification, otherwise known as RFID has been around since the late 1930’s. An early version of RFID technology was used in World War ll to identify and distinguish between allied and enemy planes. In the present day, RFID technology is being utilised in harsh and hazardous environments to store information relating to equipment and apparatus. However until now, there has been no certified method of installation. Our new RFID Stopping Plug is an adaptation of Hawke’s 487 Stopping Plug, featuring a single screw to safely attach RFID tags in hazardous areas.
