Commuter Rail System

Project

Phase I of the new commuter railroad for Orlando, consisted of the Double Tracking and upgrade of 96 crossings. The installation contractor, RCL of Benbrook, Texas, had invaluable experience in installing CHANCE® brand helical foundations for part of the federally mandated Positive Train Control System for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.

With the knowledge of the time and costs savings versus other foundations, the project management staff? submitted a value engineered package to the SunRail Project. The pedestrian crossings, highway grade crossings, and wayside signals were all installed and secured using the CHANCE foundations.
