00:13enhancing the safety ergonomics and overall well being of workers.
00:19Tool assist pros ERGO line of tool balancer suspend tools to create effective
00:25workspaces. Today, we're reviewing the ERGO one series of
00:29tool balancers which are designed for loads from eight ounces up to five pounds.
00:34These reliable and economical balancers suspend tools or other equipment while providing handy
00:40access and weightless control.
00:43The housing is made from durable abs so lightweight yet built for rugged work
00:48conditions. While the matte black finish doesn't reflect
00:51light to prevent unnecessary distraction or eye strain.
00:55And the modern ergonomic design has rounded edges so it will perform in tight spaces
01:00without getting hooked or caught on things.
01:03Let's review some of its easy to adjust controls and functionality.
01:07So you can see for yourself how the ERGO one line can help your team become safer and more
01:12productive. We start by mounting it to a secure structure
01:15above the work area.
01:17Here we're using one of the tool assist pro workbenches which provides an ideal mounting
01:22option. There's also a hold for a secondary support
01:25cable in the unlikely event that the primary mount fails.
01:28This workstation uses a four pound tool. So we've selected the HGO BD 05 which is rated
01:35for 3 to 5 pounds. Next, attach the tool to the included clip and
01:40then adjust the spring tension for this situation.
01:44We want the tool to be basically weightless. So turn the palm knob clockwise to increase the
01:50spring tension until the connected tool reaches equilibrium.
01:54There are also arrows molded into the housing indicating which direction to turn to decrease
02:00the tension push down on the tension release button repeatedly until the desired tension is
02:05achieved to fine tune the tension. There's a drag brake adjustment located on the
02:10back, use a 5 30 seconds or four millimeter Allen wrench or hex key make the adjustment
02:16turn clockwise to add more drag and counterclockwise to reduce this is also
02:21indicated on the housing. Now we'll set the preferred tool height,
02:25loosen the bolts on the cable stop and slide it to the desired stopping point.
02:30For this situation, we want the tool 18 inches above the table top.
02:34So that's where we'll tighten the cable stop in place.
02:37For some workstations. It might be more convenient to have some tools
02:41completely out of the way. For only occasional for that,
02:47we simply loosen and reposition the ball stop and then set the tension to a sufficient level
02:52to retract the attached tool out of the way as desired with a 6 ft cable length.
02:57There's a lot of flexibility in locating the balancer relative to the preferred tool
03:02location, but always leave a minimum of three inches between the ball stop and the cable end.
03:08The ERGO one series is the perfect solution for many applications.
03:11Use it to make almost any tool from a half pound up to five pounds.
03:15Virtually weightless, reducing worker fatigue while also cutting down on wear and tear on
03:21tools which often occurs as tools are dropped in between uses.
03:30It also reduces trip hazards by getting tools and cords off the floor.
03:34While also eliminating theft and lost productivity from misplaced tools,
03:39set it to provide handy access only when needed while the tool conveniently retracts out of the
03:44way when not needed.
03:46Simply set the tension to the desired needs. Whether that's a smooth,
03:50gentle retracting or zero gravity.
03:55The applications are as limitless as the work environments perfect for workstations,
04:00assembly lines, shipping departments and wherever else.
04:04Frequent use of tools or equipment can be made safer and more efficient
04:11tool assist pro part of Hubbell and the Gleeson Reel brand.
