Guard arm construciton is most commonly used in communications applications where messenger stand is attached to the arm on the side opposite the brace. The guard arm brace attaches to the side of the crossarm and pole face to stabilize and strengthen the arm.
Pole and crossarm components offered by the Hubbell-Chance brand includes braces, double-arming bolts, reinforcing plates and grid gains for crossarm support. Braces are offered in steel or Apitong wood and include V-type, side-arm and two-piece under arm and side mount styles.
- 18" overall length with 7/16" dia. arm hole and 9/16" dia. pole hole are spaced on 16-1/4" centers
- Material is 1/4" x 1-1/4" steel galvanized per ASTM A-153
