Selecting the right kelly bar adapter is crucial for assembling an effective anchor or helical pile drive string. It's important to accurately measure the flat faces of the hex or square-shaped torque motor drive shaft to ensure a proper fit, as adapters are designed slightly oversized to accommodate drive shaft dimensions. Adapters are available in sizes for a 5-1/4” bolt circle (10,000 ft-lb) and a 7-5/8” bolt circle (15,000 – 30,000 ft-lb), catering to different anchor tool requirements. A complete tool system for the PISA® family of anchors includes the kelly bar adapter, torque indicator, locking dog assembly, and drive-end wrench, providing a comprehensive solution for secure and efficient anchor installations.
