Our CHANCE® brand guy strain insulators utilize a veiled (or optional silicone-coated) rod, rather than a painted rod, to achieve superior ultraviolet resistance and protect against surface scratches that could compromise other types of guy strains. Unlike others, our castings are securely crimped—not glued—onto the rod and sealed with silicone to prevent moisture penetration. This moisture lock-out at the rod/casting interface significantly enhances the performance and lifespan of the guy strain insulator.
