RFL® was established in 1922 as “Radio Frequency Laboratories” in rural Boonton, New Jersey. Under the RFL brand, Hubbell Power Systems, Inc. (HPS) manufactures a comprehensive line of highly-reliable, mission-critical, cost-effective communications and protection solutions for the electric utility and transportation markets, oil and gas markets, government agencies and engineering consulting firms. RFL was acquired by HPS in 2014 and continues its focus in the development and supply of rugged communications and protection systems for its customers in the power utilities and the transportation marketplaces.
