15 kV, 600 A, Single Insulator Disconnect

Chance Type M3C Disconnect Switches are Single Phase Hook Stick operated units ideal for manual switching up to 38kV 150kV BIL. They are Single Insulator "Cutout Style" Mounted making them ideal for riser applications. They are rated either 900A or 600A and offered with NEMA B brackets or D Brackets for cross arm mounting or pole mounting. All M3C disconnects include load break hooks for use with a portable load break tool. These also serve as a blade closing guide. Each switch has silver plated contract areas for smooth current transfer and a positve latching blade mechanism to prevent unwanted opening during surges. Each pull ring has a pry out lever which helps opeing under ice conditions. The Chance M3C units are offered with ESP Enhanced Silicone Polymer insulating material.
