Cross-Plate Anchor for 16" (406 mm) Hole used with 0.625" (15.9 mm) or 0.75" (19.1 mm) Diameter Rod.
The Chance Cross-Plate anchor is made for installation in holes drilled by power diggers or dug with backhoe. . Because the size of the hole does not affect holding capacity, the hole can be dug by the same auger that is used to dig the pole holes ontransmission projects. Cross-Plate anchors are installed in a diagonal bored hole which is undercut so the anchor is at right angles to the guy. A rod trench is either cut with a trenching tool or drilled with a small power auger. Both anchor and rod trenchshould be refilled and tamped.
- Cross-plate anchors are designed to be installed against side of hole. Rod trench is required to align rod with guy load.
- Painted with black paint
- Nut retainer on bottom of anchor holds nut in place during installation
