Square Shaft (SS 175) Lead Section 10' (3048 mm) long with 10" (254 mm) -12" (304 mm) - 14" (355 mm) Helices.
Square Shaft anchors are used in areas where weak soil conditions exist and/or higher holding capacities are required. Extension shafts are added to allow the Lead Section to be installed to the proper depth. The Chance Square Shaft "SS" Anchor Lead Sections are available in various helical plate combinations and square shaft sizes. The Square Shaft screw anchor system consists of three galvanized components: Lead Section, Extension Shaft (sold separately), and the Guy Adapter.
- Square Shaft Lead Sections are assembled to Square Shaft Extension with through bolt.
- The helical shaped plates do not auger into the soil but rather screw into it with minimal soil disturbance
- Hot dipped galvanized per ASTM A153
- Capacity of anchor can be determined by measuring installation torque
