Hubbell's facility in Rugao City, China manufactures polymer insulators for applications from distribution to transmission. With 160,000 square feet, the facility houses 140 employees and specializes in manufacturing high voltage polymer insulators for the electric utility and railway industries. The Rugao team was among the first in China to develop high voltage composite insulators for use on China's grid and remains a leading supplier today with an emphasis on quality and continuous improvement. Previously known as Jiangsu Xiangyuan Electric Equipment Co., the Rugao facility was acquired by Hubbell in 2016.
